  9.           ppmdim - dim a portable pixmap down to total blackness

  11.      SYNOPSIS
  12.           ppmdim dimfactor [ppmfile]
  13.  
  14.      DESCRIPTION
  15.           Reads a portable pixmap as input. Diminishes its brightness
  16.           by the specified dimfactor down to total blackness.  The
  17.           dimfactor may be in the range from 0.0 (total blackness,
  18.           deep night, nada, null, nothing) to 1.0 (original picture's
  19.           brightness).

  21.           As pnmgamma does not do the brightness correction in the way
  22.           I wanted it, this small program was written.
  23.  
  24.           ppmdim is similar to ppmbrighten , but not exactly the same.
